Warner Bros has struck a a content deal with BitTorrent to transfer movies and television shows LEGALLY. It is believed to be the first of its kind between a file-sharing company and the entertainment industry.
It is believe that the service will cost around $1, half the price currently offered on Apple’s iTunes.
Ashwin Navin, president of BitTorrent said that the company has wrongly been given a bad name by those who have decided to use the file sharing protocol for illicit purposes. He argues that the company itself has never facilitated piracy, and is working to disassociate itself with those who participate in such activity.
