The First Ever 100 Megapixel Chip

Pfttt…forget about that 39 Megapixel Camera that Hasselblad introduced early this year.

100 Megapixels is the new groove now..

In an article from Gizmag,DALSA Semiconductor has been able to succesfully fabricate and deliver the world’s highest resolution image sensor chip.

The CCD device, which measures approximately four inches by four inches, has a total resolution of over 111 million pixels (10,560 pixels x 10,560 pixels). It is the world’s first imager to break the 100 Megapixel barrier.

Simply Amazing! I’m already impressed with my Canon IXUS 400 (pictured below), which comes with a ‘whopping’ 4.0 Megapixels,it takes beautiful shots..imagine 100 Megapixels :shock:
