Mostly banks are offering the free credit card to their all customers at the very low credit card interest. People who have a credit card always use the credit cards to pay their href="http://www.smartvoiceover.com">broadband phone payments. Some of the dsl internet service provider also accept the credit card payments online. Better search engine marketing strategies can promote the online or web based business in a very good way. href="http://www.connectwifi.net">wireless isp does the same trick and also work like other internet service. All of the internet service provider groups manage the online training sessions for their new staff.

Keys are outdated and cumbersome anyway. Maybe Its time to finally switch to biometrics.

  6. confused.brit

Fingerprint coded locks. That will be the only secure lock.

  7. e-tech

Unless they somehow get hold of your fingerprints which isn;t that hard..or worst..cut off your fingers…yikes!

  8. E

Biometrics won’t do anything. Mythbusters broke through the top of the line fingerprint reader lock with a PHOTOCOPY of the thumbprint of the person the lock was designed for. They made a photocopy, licked it, and stuck it on there, and it opened.

  9. Geir

These types off locks still aren’t affected by this technique. http://www.assa.se/privat/index.php?id=10058&ssel=10007

To get a full insurance approval for businesses in Norway, you’ve got to have both types.

Most homes in Norway also have both, an ordinary cylinderlock, and a safety lock. To get full insurance you’ve got to lock both when you leave home.

  10. Geir

In any case, you should always opt for two or more radically different systems for hightened security. Fingerprints, voiceprint, iris-scans, cylinder _and_ tumblerlocks should do it. And throw in a code lock just for good measures

    This story’s been around over a year…
Cylinder type locks are the only locks this attack will defeat. A traditional lever deadlock, such as for instance a Chubb, from England would laugh at such an attack. Like Geir’s Assa locks, or how about Abloy from Sweden. Truth is this technique defeats a lot of common locks, but there are many other types.
Most locks however look a bit sad when their bolt is cut through.
As a sometime locksmith, i would say that houses will never be secure when doors are made of wood or plastics, and windows are of glass. or roofs are tiled.
The intruder wishing to enter your house may use a bump-key if he’s seen all these internet reports, but chances are he’ll go for brute force. And your lock may be the only intact part of a splintered door.
As for you guys touting biometrics, What about after the lightning strikes the power lines up the road and your fancy lock gets its brain wiped? Time to get the ladder out and go in through the partly open bathroom window, don’t you think?

  12. soubriquet

oops, sorry Abloy, Ab Lukko, Oy, from Finland.

And by the time you reach the toiled…you no longer need it :)

Might as well leave the door open because if someone wants into your home badly enough, there are many more ways than a door with flimsy lock protection.

  15. dick butt kiss

it doesnt work on deadbolts tho :^( nice try dorks.

  16. FireFaerie

This is definitely Dutch, not German.

  17. Matt

Biometrics technology is just as useless at the moment.

It looks all hot and ulta secure in the movies, but it just isnt usable yet.

  18. Matt

“it doesnt work on deadbolts tho :^( nice try dorks.”

So.. how wxactly do you lock your deadbolt when you leave for the day?

  19. Kansaswind

Locks are ment as a deterrent to help ward off unwanted guests, to solve the problem with this lock delima in it’s entirety, buy a 45 and a case of beer, turn on the tv to somethin good and sit back and wait. Chances are you will probably end up getting really drunk and then bored, the possibly you’ll shoot ur self dead and PROBLEM SOLVED. Have a Nice Day!

  22. Moritz

    Really interesting and shocking.
Let’s just hope that electronic locks spread faster then this opening technique, and that they are any better…

    Best regards,
    Moritz

“So.. how wxactly do you lock your deadbolt when you leave for the day?”

I have a deadbolt that locks from the outside with a non-pin key lock. You can buy one for around $15 at any hardware store. Just go to Home Depot’s website. Didn’t do much research before you asked this huh?

  26. DR

Is burglary that big a problem in Europe?
Because if it is, then maybe it’s time for stiffer penalties for those who steal property that honest people have worked hard to buy.

  27. Linu

This is definitely Dutch, not German.

As far as I know, this won’t work on a Medeco lock, because the cuts on their keys have three different “angles” to them - the cuts can be right cuts, center cuts, or left cuts. The number of possibilities prevent someone from making a Medeco bumpkey. If, for instance, my lock has a key that has cuts of left, left, center, right, center, and you have a bumpkey of right, center, right, left, left, you won’t be able to make the pins jump.

Digital door locks are available now.
There’s quite a few on the market, the one I use is called the Mykey 4000. It is RFID enabled digital door lock and comes with an indoor remote control.
I got it from this site http://www.cydus-solutions.com

I don’t have to worry about lock bumping because there’s no keyhole. They also carry another digital lock, the Mykey 2300.
