$51.1 million Bid by Red Sox for Daisuke Matsuzaka

This has nothing to do with tech but still i was absolutely amaze at the amount of money a baseball club will pay just to talk to a player.

According to CNN The Boston Red Sox have emerged as winners of the bidding for Daisuke Matsuzaka with a $51.1 million offer beating out the New York Yankees and they now have 30 days to sign the Japanese pitcher to a contract.

Matsuzaka currently plays for The Seibu Lions of Japan’s Pacific League but it looks like the days of playing in Japan is over now.
