The charging mat uses one wall socket and can charge up to four devices at a time. it supports most current devices, and if it doesn’t it supplies additonal cables for $4.95 each!

At $40 the charging mat may seem a little bit expensive, but when you consider it can charge nearly any device, save you space and securely hold your hardware, well it suddenly doesn’t seem quite so much!

The silicon mat rolls up, and you can get a cigareet lighter adapter to charge your gadgets on the go!

We use pen-drive to store data, back up data, move stuff from one PC to the other. But have you ever seen pen drive being used for show off and decoration purpose. Well here are some of the USB pen drives we wish we all had seen before making a buy of a USB pen drive. Some of these pen drive are just pointless, some are heavy and some are too expensive to own.

5). The Nike Air Max 360 flash drive

This is quite a unique kind of Pen drives we have ever encountered. This Pen Drive, produced in the shape of a Nike Shoes, is fast and wraps the NAND memory and the connector with some rubber. With pen drive will make sure that you empty all the neighboring USB slots though.

4). iDisk Diamond

iDisk Diamond is the smallest Pen drive made so far. This pen drive fits into the USB port of you PC. In terms of memory, it amazes you with the amount of data it can hold. iDisk Diamond comes in all memory sizes, be it 128 MB or the 8 GB (Say WoW).

3). Wallet Flash Drive

Walletex has developed the Wallet-Friendly device, the Wallet Flash, the world’s first credit card sized USB Flash Drive. The Wallet Flash USB flash drive has received the CES innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Showcase Honoree in the Personal Electronics Category, right upon its launch, and awarded “The 2007 Promotional Gift” by Promotional World.
This world’s slimmest USB device, and the only one that can be conveniently carried in a wallet, provides the discerning user with several major advantages over the conventional USB drives exist on the market.

2). World’s Heaviest USB Drive

Chris Spurge decided to permanently “embed” his USB drive to a 16-pound Galaxie 3000 bowling ball in fears of losing it. One caveat: connecting it to a computer. I can see the new trend now – flash drives stuck into Foreman grills, Karate trophies and old Pintos. The future is a beautiful place. While attaching this device to laptops and PCs within cramped confines probably isn’t desirable, it should definitely keep that precious data out of the washing machine, but we doubt this bad boy lands a strike anytime soon with such an extrusion.

1). 007 USB Flash Drive

For some people, losing is pen drive is not a worry, but the data filled inside it is. What if a person steals your Pen drive containing all your personel records like Name, Age, Bank Account number, Credit card information and the worst of all, you bank account or PayPal password. That is where 007 USB Flash Drive comes to rescue. This device “not only keeps would-be data thieves from getting to the thumb drive, it also will physically lock the drive to an object, such as a desk, via the bundled steel cable.

So, what is you kind of pen drive? Did we miss anything? Scribble through the comments section below.

Polaroid today announced the release date for their long awaited digital upgrade to the Polaroid Camera. The PoGo is a Pocket Sized Bluetooth Portable Printer that uses no ink (Thats right a completely inkless printer.

By making the printer inkless they have ensured that it is Robust, small enough to fit in your pocket and has fantastic quality even while on the move.

The other great thing about the Pogo Pocket Printer is its Cellphone compatability, it can print directly from your cell phone via Bluetooth or USB, making it the ultimate mobile portable printer.

The pocket printer works by heating special crystals found on the paper that comes with it, this gives pictures created by the pogo a fantastic non pixelized look that is prevailent in todays printed world.

The Pogo portable pocket printer will cost around $149 on release and uses a special stickybacked paper which will cost around $0.35 each, this is fairly cheap for on the move portable printing, but the pictures do only come out wallet sized!

The fact that the Pogo Pocket Printer can print fast pictures directly from your cell phone is a great idea, i cant see it taking long before colleagues begin to take advantage of this to pat you on the back leaving a picture or two stuck there!

Icetech, a leading Energy Technology Specialist have released the Solar i9005, a reliable hard wearing Portable Solar Charger. The Solar i9005 is not quite as portable as many would like, but measuring in at less than 6 inces long and around 3 inches wide you do not see many people complaining.

The charger comes with a massive array of attachments, not to mention USB charging capability. This means it is possible to charge anything that requires upto 9v of power, so its got your phone, MP3 Player, iPod or even many portable DVD players covered.

While most people wouldn’t use this it costs as little as $70, making it a great utensil for anyone on the move. I know when I am doing a two week road trip around Europe this year, one of these babies will be on the car dashboard all the way!

Buy one of these glowing shirts for yourself, and gift one to your significant other (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, fembot 2000…). During your normal activities two and a half pixelated hearts will light up on your shirt. Hey… you’re depressed and in need of a recharge. But get within hugging distance of your significant other wearing the matching shirt and suddenly the hearts on both of your shirts start to light up until you’re fully powered up. Go too far astray from the source of your affections and you’ll drop back down to two and a half hearts again. Got it?

Casio today announced its EXILIM EX-F1 – a six megapixel camera with 12x zoom and some very impressive burst shooting capabilities. Capturing up to 60 frames per second at full resolution and a staggering 1200 fps if you drop the image size to 336 x 96, this innovative camera will also shoot 1920 x 1080 Full HD movies at 60fps. Helping to ensure the moment isn’t missed is a buffer system which continually updates then saves the contents to card when the shutter is released. Illumination is taken care of by a conventional strobe which works at up to 7 fps and a cellphone-style LED for 10-60 fps. The EX-F1 will be available from March 2008 priced at $999.99.

Eric Hanson of EverythingUsb.com has reviewed the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad which he says Dissipates heat effectively, lowers temperature of heat reaching your legs by 12° F and it’s Lightweight with a durable construction.

If you own a laptop you;ll know that heat is a major concern expecially if your laptop is your primary piece of machine, but thanks to the Belkin Laptop Cooling Pad your laptop will now be much cooler.

An excerpt from the review:

The Laptop Cooling Pad uses a USB connection to power the unit, sacrificing a small portion of your computer’s battery life for the great convenience of not having to carry around an AC power cord. The power cable (which oddly enough does not match the rest of the Cooling Pad’s gray and white color scheme) has a DC 5V connector on one end and a USB connector on the other, and plugs into the back of the Cooling Pad.

You know there comes a time when playing the old ordinary chess set becomes a bore, sure you could spice it up a little with a crystal chess set or similar product but wouldn’t it be better to enjoy chess and get totally wasted at the same time? Well my answer would be NO, but if you actually said yes than the Shot Glass Chess set is made for you.

Basically the set is made out of glasses instead of the usual counters, these glasses are marked just like real chess-mans,so technically if your winning you get to drink the content of your opponents glass, now the content does have to be Vodka or any other alcoholic drink..but hey where’s the fun in that right?

The more you win, the more you have to drink. While getting drunk and losing concentration, you give more opportunities for your adversary to win.

So i guess this weekend will be a little more exciting for you and your pals.

Another version – Shot Glass Chess

LG has released VX10000 or simplt known as Voyager in hopes that it would be the “iPhone killer”.

The Voyage trumps the iPhone by offering faster wireless Web access. But in a nod to the Apple device it has a large touch screen and full Web browser, as well as a two megapixel camera. Your next laptop could have a continuous power battery that lasts for 30 years without a single recharge thanks to work being funded by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. The breakthrough betavoltaic power cells are constructed from semiconductors and use radioisotopes as the energy source. As the radioactive material decays it emits beta particles that transform into electric power capable of fueling an electrical device like a laptop for years.

In what has been billed as one of the best technological findings, Powercast has created a device that allows you to charge your cell phone battery (and other consumer electronics) vai the air.

It may sound futuristic, but Powercast’s platform uses nothing more complex than a radio–and is cheap enough for just about any company to incorporate into a product. A transmitter plugs into the wall, and a dime-size receiver (the real innovation, costing about $5 to make) can be embedded into any low-voltage device. The receiver turns radio waves into DC electricity, recharging the device’s battery at a distance of up to 3 feet.

Most people are anticipating the iminent release of Apple’s iPhone, however i am not “most” people and will definitely settle for this brand new sexy looking glossy Samsung Ultra Smart F700.

The Ultra Smart is a part of Samsung’s Ultra portfolio which boasts a full touch screen as well as QWERTY key pad. It reflects the recent trend in telecommunications industry of touch screen user interface and, for users who are not yet familiar with a touch-screen-only user interface, it also implements a QWERTY key pad and VibeTonz technology which allows them to feel the buttons accompanied by responsive vibrations. A “Drag and drop” method of touch screen was adopted for easier menu navigation along with music play list control for an expanded multimedia experience. Volume, play lists, brightness of screens as well as other menu control can be controlled utilizing the touch screen.

Kinda reminds me of that MP3 player used in Fergie’s and The Pussycat Dolls music video (Samsung YP-K5), and did i mentioned that it has a 5 megapixel camera?

New York State Sen Carl Kruger says soon New Yorkers will be slapped with a US$100 fine if they are caught listening to an iPod or talking on a cell phone while crossing the streets.

New York State Sen Carl Kruger says three pedestrians in his Brooklyn district have been killed since September upon stepping into traffic while distracted by an electronic device. In one case bystanders screamed “watch out” to no avail.

Kruger says he will introduce legislation on Wednesday to ban the use of gadgets such as Blackberry devices and video games while crossing the street.

“Government has an obligation to protect its citizenry,” Kruger said in a telephone interview from Albany, the state capital.

I think it’s a good move, sure people like listening and playing with their digital devices but if it can cost them their lives than it’s just not worth it.
