Do you calculate your biorhythm? what is “biorhythm” in the first place?

A biorhythm (or biological rhythm) is a hypothetical cyclic pattern of alterations in physiology, emotions, and/or intellect. “Bio” pertains to life and “rhythm” pertains to the flow with regular movement.

Our physical biorhythm cycle completes one life cycle in 23 days. Our emotional biorhythm cycle lasts 28 days, and our intellectual biorhythm cycle lasts 33 days. At mid point and end point in each cycle, they sharply move back to zero point and change polarity. The day a cycle changes polarity is called a transition day (also called a critical day, or caution day).

The Calculation:

It is possible to calculate one’s biorhythm using one’s birthdate. These calculations will result in a graph showing three curves, each representing one of the three cycles. It is advised to do these calculations in a spreadsheet such as the well-known Excel, as they are quite complicated an numerous, especially if you want to calculate your personal cycles for an entire month or even an entire year.

Scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the University of California at Berkeley recently conducted a study on the male “biological clock”.

According to research,as men get older they have a slow decline in fertility and are more likely to pass along genetic traits that could result in birth defects in their children.The study was conducted on 100 healthy non-smoking men from 22 – 80 years old.
