Nikon Coolpix S52c Compact Camera

Nikon just released the Coolpix S52 and S52c compact cameras. The S52c is the more interesting one because it has integrated WiFi hardware allowing it to upload content to the web directly.

S52c Highlights

* 3x optical zoom
* Image Stabilizer
* Can shoot video

According to dpreview.com, the S52 is equipped with the same exciting features as the S52c, but is intended for those who do not require internet connectivity. This allows for a slightly smaller body (93 mm wide) and is available in two colours: silver and plum black (depending on country of sale).

Both cameras offer convenient, user-friendly controls and an easy-to-follow set of on-screen menus for access to advanced functions.

The iPod is a great gadget to have for music and videos, it’s not exactly come with the largest display. Its screen that has QVGA resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio can be enough for album art visualization, however, it is a bit small for watching movies comfortably. Its Facebook programs include Top Friends, FunWall, and SuperPoke.

In an interview, Levchin declined to name the institutional investors. But sources close to the financing deal said the investors were Fidelity Investments and T Rowe Price.

MacBook Air

Apple’s latest offering is the their new laptop or simply called “MacBook Air”, Mimicking the 13-inch silhouette of the current MacBook line, it’s .76-inch thick at its thickest part. Apple calls it the “world’s thinnest notebook.”

Though the MacBook Air is not quite the thinnest laptop ever, it is among the thinnest ever seen (the Fujistu LifeBook Q2010 and the Toshiba Portege R500 both measure 0.8 inch thick, but neither tapers to 0.16 inch as the Air does).

The MacBook Air includes the usual iSight camera, an LED backlit display, an ambient light sensor, and a big touchpad that works with multitouch gestures, such as rotating a photo by twisting your fingers on the touchpad.

As for what’s inside this slim laptop, we’re looking at a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, custom-made by Intel to fit into the slim chassis, 2GB of RAM, and a choice of either an 80GB standard 1.8-inch hard drive or a 64GB SSD drive (which really should be standard for something so forward-looking).

Capturing up to 60 frames per second at full resolution and a staggering 1200 fps if you drop the image size to 336 x 96, this innovative camera will also shoot 1920 x 1080 Full HD movies at 60fps. Helping to ensure the moment isn’t missed is a buffer system which continually updates then saves the contents to card when the shutter is released. The LG Viewty is one of the best looking phones around right now, with it’s 5-megapixel camera; HSDPA (3.5G); ability to upload videos straight to YouTube and photo editing ability it’s bound to attract a fanbase, however it’s dissapointing to note that it does not have wi-fi capabilities.

Yahoo has been given U.S. antitrust approval to buy BlueLithium, the Federal Trade Commission said on Wednesday. U.S. antitrust authorities decided the deal posed no antitrust concerns. The transaction was listed in a daily notice of such approvals issued by the FTC.
